![]() Are you looking for a hot date tonight? If so, look no farther than this one right here. She's so hot she'll melt you faster than the surface of the Sun itself...but only if you can catch her attention. She's can be as distant as the surface of Mars, and it's not all because of the massive pile of daddy issues. Being a goddess is hard work, after all, and she has exacting standards to meet. Still, if you're very lucky and bring your A-game, she might hold you close. Just beware, the last person that got too close ended up very dead. So, do you feel lucky? |

whoa hold up.
i know these dating apps say a lot of shit but
"""goddess???"""
is that for real?
un: hino
Extremely stupid.
[But several minutes later, a PRIVATE message appears in Gwen's inbox
I don't broadcast it because I'd prefer it not be widely known.
But in a technical sense it's half-accurate.
no subject
just uh
don't believe anything it says about me.
[ She is NOT ACTUALLY CRAZY.
And then, PRIVATE: ] huh that's pretty cool. are you the goddess of anything in particular?
no subject
[Then moving to PermaPrivate]
Fire and War.
Did you miss the references to Mars?
no subject
i thought it was just a big ball of rock and dust.
no subject
It's a cold place, actually.
But in both eastern and western astrology it's associated with fire.
And in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese it's written as 火星 which means Fire Star.
Also, the Babylonians associated it with Fire and Warfare.
The connections to the Romans should be evident enough.

wayyyyyy more info than i ever knew about Mars.
i just knew it was the red one next door.
the Mother in My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas.
no subject
That's how Americans learn to remember the names of the planets?
Actually...that's quite clever, I like it.
The short answer then, is yes. I am a goddess.
My past life was, at any rate, and I can draw on her power and I have all of her memories.
So I suppose that makes me one, in a sense.
no subject
then i think they changed it to My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos.
doesn't have the same ring to it.
oh cool so it's like a reincarnation thing.
what's that like? having someone else's memories in your head?
no subject
That would be technically more correct.
There's a 10th planet, it's just hidden.
And yes, it is.
It was a little disorienting at first, because she had been alive so long.
But now it's just part of my own memories.
It's been that way since I was fourteen.

N... Nupiter?
that sounds like the worst puberty present ever.
like, on Earth-616 a lot of mutants first manifest their powers around that age, so i guess it makes sense, timing wise.
but damn.
what was her name?
no subject
It's black, and made entirely out of a dark crystal that reflects light and satellite signals.
It wasn't a puberty thing.
I had died and my powers resurrected me.
The reincarnation came back flawed the first time, but the second time fixed that.
no subject
that's awesome!
wait, so you died-and-came-back before Creepsville?
man, that whomps.
no subject
I'm an immortal. So long as the planet stays intact, I'll return.
It honestly doesn't even concern me much at this point.
no subject
hey that's pretty cool.
afaik no one's planning on nuking Mars anytime soon, so you should be set for life.
however long that life is.
no subject
It doesn't freak you out though?
A psychic, fire-wielding deity living among you...
no subject
what's an immortal fire space god thrown into the mix?
no subject
But I am technically also a martian.
I'm just not little and green.
no subject
omega level just means they're the most powerful level of mutants. some of them are mind readers, some are reality warpers. i think Iceman is technically also omega level??? even though all he can do is turn his body into a living snowman.
no subject
Okay, actually, is there a mutant named Logan?
no subject
oh yeah! he's one of the most famous mutants there is!
do you know him?
no subject
We fought alongside each other several times.
He left, though, before I did.
no subject
twice over, even!
though they might be slightly different Logans than the one you knew.
no subject
Do you know if they recall their previous time here?
I assume you've at least spoken with them.
no subject
[ She will never stop bragging about the Wolverine hug. ]
afaik it's both of their first times here, from their perspective.
no subject
I'll keep that in mind. I don't want to risk upsetting him. Either one of him.
Also, I think this goes without saying, but I want to keep what I am a bit secret. It's force of habit, and if I have an enemy from home arrive I'd rather not be out.
no subject
i can keep your secret, no problem.
🤐
no subject
I'm counting on you.
